Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description: Catch Record Card (CRC) areas are a way to distinguish unique bodies of water to help in tracking salmon populations, catch rates, and managing fisheries in those areas. This data aggregates the National Hydrography Dataset's 12-digit Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC-12) watersheds such that the pour points are the lowest point along streams or reaches or as defined by recreational marine fishing areas. In some cases, reach end points do not match a HUC-12 boundary, and a HUC-12 would then be split manually and the parts appended to the appropriate neighboring areas. The areas can be used to deduce which CRC streams may be affected by activity within them, as well as associate a tributary to a CRC area.
