Description: Kitsap county roads layer, imported from Kitsap County's roadcl.shp shapefile published September 2016 [downloaded from the Kitsap County website], and clipped within an 18,000 foot buffer of the "HoodCanalShedOutline_HID" layer [IMW Hood Canal watershed boundary derived by Ken Pierce and merged by K. Samson (K.S.)], and then reprojected to Web Mercator for ArcGis Online use. Original Kitsap County Street Centerline data represented the entire County including the Cities. Main features include the names of the streets and the address ranges utilized by E-911.

Description: The ROAD layer is state lands forest roads connected to the general road network for the entire state of Washington. Other elements of the transportation network such as ferries, railroads, and trails are not included. Roads are edited mainly for DNR managed state lands or for updates to published map series. The ROADS layer includes basic attributes that are attached to the road segments from intersection to intersection, such as the organization's control and responsibility, status, access, surface, road classifications, abandonment authorization, and editing metadata.
