The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) manages real property across the state for fish and wildlife, habitat conservation and wildlife related recreation. WDFW has developed and maintained GIS data about the lands owned and managed by the agency. However, this data is not intended to be an accurate and complete representation of ownership or management. Contiguous areas of ownership acquired at different times from various landowners were often grouped together, eliminating the ability to explore specific rights and interests held by WDFW. Efforts are underway to revise this data set so that it is parcel based and constructed using methods and procedures that will produce a more accurate representation of the estate. Please refer to the legal descriptions for specific boundary locations.

The purpose of this feature class is to show the lands owned or managed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) across the state of Washington.
