Description: Provides a geographic definition of "Puget Sound". It is assumed that only US waters are included, because the term "Puget Sound" would be used by the former Washington Department of Fisheries in relation to fishing regulations, and the Department has no jurisdiction over Canadian waters.http://apps.leg.wa.gov/WAC/default.aspx?cite=220-16-210WAC 220-16-210Geographical definitions - Puget Sound. It would be good to rename this WAC to Salish Sea. This definition of "Puget Sound" is not correct per USBGN.???? - The Strait of Juan de Fuca itself is not defined by WAC. The assumption is that the western end is defined by the Bonilla-Tatoosh line per WAC 220-16-490, which should be referenced in this WAC.???? - It is unclear whether the authors intend for "Puget Sound" to end at the US-Canada border.[Order 817, § 220-16-210, filed 5/29/69.
